I am grateful to share that my photo exhibition, SANJA – 人・力・時の記憶, was successfully held in Tokyo.
This exhibition marked a personal journey back to the Sanja Festival, 30 years after I first photographed it as an assignment during my student days in photography school. Returning to the same streets and looking through my viewfinder once again, I was reminded that while time has passed, the energy and spirit of the people remain unchanged.
Through this collection, I sought to capture the strength, passion, and raw energy of the festival—the people carrying the mikoshi under the hot sun and the enduring spirit that continues to define the city today.
My sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this exhibition possible, from the organizers and staff to friends and supporters who assisted with the setup. I would also like to thank everyone who visited the exhibition and shared this experience with me.
