As part of our On-the-Go Photo Workshop in Tokyo 2024, we hosted a special in-person photo slideshow sharing event that showcasing Malaysian photographers works and photography students work from Japan.
During the session, students from Japan and participants from Malaysia showcased the images they captured throughout the workshop—especially their powerful visual stories from the Sanja Festival. Each slideshow highlighted their creativity, observation skills, and the unique ways they interpreted the vibrant streets of Tokyo.
We were thrilled to see a strong turnout from Malaysian participants, who came to support the sharing session and celebrate the photographic work produced during the workshop. Their presence added warmth and community spirit to the event, making it feel like a truly cross-cultural gathering despite the physical distance.
The session served as a beautiful reminder of how photography brings people together - bridging countries, perspectives, and experiences through shared visual storytelling. It was a meaningful milestone for our Tokyo 2024 workshop, and we’re grateful to everyone who joined and contributed to this memorable exchange.
